I observe the world around me, and immerse in it.
I trace Life, and Grow.
My name is Jonathan. I’m based in a village north of Vienna, Austria though originally I am Israeli. For 4 years I’ve been experiencing, travelling and living in various places around the globe. Australia, The Gambia, Papua New guinea or Georgia are just some of my past destinations. The extraordinary intrigues me to eventually discover a human common ground. I’m fascinated by cultures and where they meet the individual. I hold a BA in Sociology-Anthropology an MSc degree in Tourism Development & Culture.
I see photography as a tool for exploring one's self and cultural background in relation with one's environment. Travel photography, when done attentively, can enhance this experience, and integrate new perspectives for observing reality.
My photography is capturing fragments of these realities, whether it be a passing moment or a well thought through frame. I aim at understanding essences of places and figures, namely the way they relate with each other. I focus on atmosphere rather than mere souvenirs making. My photos are there to communicate for you, viewer or collaborator.
Currently I offer my services for tourist destinations and hospitality providers. I am also working on long term personal projects and candid photography. Contact me for more information!
